Past four Months...

...has been a new experience for me. As soon as Jason started his play school, I too got a job. A pre-school teacher. I took it up, as the timing was good, and I could be home when Jason is back from his school. The pay was not even enough for the transportation. But I went, cos I did not want to sit at home all day. And once I started going, I loved my work. It was fulfilling to work with children. Mine were aged 2.6 to 4 years. After the initial settling down period, we bonded well.I loved decorating the class and all the other craft things. I used to search the web for innovative ways to teach the kids any new concept. We had to go through training also, as most of us were in-experience in this field. And due to that most of the days I came back home only by 5pm. Even though my MIL is at home, she used to get very tired by the time I reach home.

Jason is now very naughty and is on constant move. so she was having a hard time running after him. And recently, about a couple of weeks back, she fell down, and is advised complete bed rest at least for a month. So I am on leave for a month. I miss the school and the kids there, but cant help it. I am not regretting staying at home, cos I have got time in my hand, and I am able to take care of the house as well as Jason, better than I was during the past four months.
So that was me...

Jason meanwhile is loving his school, and is always ready before time itself. Eating for him is still an issue. He has started talking more now. And that too lots of English. But at present he is down with viral fever, cough and cold, and has not being going to school for a week. Doc has assured he will be fine in a couple of days...

Here are some snaps on what Jason has been up to...

Onam special.

All dressed up for his Vidhya Aarumbham

Writing for the first time on rice with Chitra (singer), and later giving dakshina.

With grandpa, and his gift...

At Mama's school, the one in green stripes. (Click on the pic to enlarge it).

Here, the one in blue, trying eat other kid's snacks.

Mother's day post...

**I know its a late one. Actually I wrote this yesterday, but due to Internet connection problem could not publish **

Just some thoughts on the occasion of Mother's day.

Mothers day came, and went. Left me thinking, am I a good mother?

The newspapers, television etc were filled with Mother's day articles. About how famous mothers juggled their time and effort to balance their family and professional life. There were articles about famous kids and about how their mother supported them in every way etc.

There are n number of times, when I have sat and cried by myself, times like, when he falls sick frequently, when he was not eating properly, or when he is not behaving properly. Even for silly reasons like, when he slaps me, or when he prefers to hug and kiss his dad instead of me. Then recent time when I felt sad was, when I knew that his blood group is same as his dad. I know it is really stupid of me to feel sad for something like this. But I just cant help it. I love that kid like anything and want him to favour me more. After all I have known him nine months more than anyone else in this world. Sounds selfish and greedy... ? I think I am loosing it... its the heat which is making my brain melt.

There are also times when I feel I am the proudest and happiest mom. Like when he runs to toilet, shaking his sweet little bum, crying out, "ba ba aappy aappy (come come, potty potty)", when he wants to poop. Or when he wants to pee, he tries to pull down his shorts and cries "shu-shu". Simple actions like when he wipes his leg on the mat, when he comes out of the bathroom, or when he says "Monne... (Good morning)", most of days when he wakes up. And also when sometimes when he is eating something, he offers it to me even without me asking him. Those moments are so so special. I could just freeze them. The times when he kisses me with all the love he has for me, just after I have scolded him for doing something. I go all squishy squishy.

Just yesterday, after church we went for breakfast, at a south Indian restaurant. I was feeding him Dosa, dipped in sambar. After a couple of bites he wanted to do it by himself. So he tears a piece and dips it in the sambar and puts it in his mouth. We were so proud of him. Hubby gave him a thumbs-up sigh, to encourage him. He continues eating and gives a thumb-ups himself. I know there may be kids who did this when they were much younger than him. Frankly, I don't care. I care about my son and how he is learning new stuff and how he is growing up.

Well, yesterday after reading the newspapers, i just felt that instead of getting a mother's day gift, i would like to do something for my son. Who gave me the honor of being his Mother. I want to give him a fitter Mother. So that I would be able to run and jump around with him. Be for him, all healthy and fit even when he is a grown up. Be fit for his children. I was all pumped up, and also started working on a regime. I made up my mind to exercise and eat healthy from the next day, as we had a dinner plans with a couple celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary that evening. Had a lovely dinner and then went to this newly opened ice-cream parlour. I could have said no for the ice-cream. All the pumping and regime just flew out of the window. I had a big bowl of 'Butterscotch Symphony'. I could not finish it. Couldn't throw it away, so got it home and had it today.

Let me end the post, with a promise that I going to start exercising from tomorrow (I hope that tomorrow comes). Please pray for me, so that I can stick to my promise, and motivate my self to loose the 15kg I have gained after my marriage.

Yes, I look like a sack of potatoes. I have to do it.. I have to do it...I have to..
**That's me talking to myself**

p.s: After reading the post, i just realized that non of what i just wrote makes any sense. Anyhow publishing it. At least it may give u a good laugh after a hard day's work :)

Can't Decide...

..about what title to give for this post. Cos There is nothing specific I want to blog about. Just some stuff..

Like.. something which is actually scaring the hell out of me. I will be 30 next month. THIRTY.... Its like half of my life is finished ( assuming I wont be tragically dead before 60). So many things come to a halt... ok not halt but at least to a pause at this age. I cant be referred to be in 'late twenties' any more. I will be counted in the list of aunties from then onwards. I cant apply to any bank or government jobs anymore, as the age limit is 30. I have to be more careful now if I have to have a second child ( There is a post or at least a paragraph coming up on this topic later). Ohh... how I wish I could stay in my twenties for some more time.

If there is a die-hard F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan like me, you can recall the episode where they celebrate Rachel's 30th birthday, and in between Joey starts crying and asks God, "Why us God.. why??" I am in the same place right now. Though I am happy about the gifts I would be getting form my hubby ( ok.. that was for my hubby to read ;) just a reminder...dear,you have still got a month to buy them) and all the phone calls from friends and family, I don't want to be 30. I don't want to be OLD ...

Now about the next child... what should be the ideal difference between two children? I am confused. Me and my sis, we are five years apart. I don't remember a single day when we did not fight. And we are not that close, as in telling our dark secrets and stuff. I wish we were. But I have been away for my engg and then she went for her nursing and then I went off to work and later got married. So we never got together to do some fun stuff. And neither do I see it happening in the near future. So that's my case. I feel five or four years is too much. Is three ok? That was what me and hubby were thinking of. Cos neighbours and family have already started asking about 'the next one'. Well, anyhow I have to get a job first, only then I can afford to get pregs...

ok.. let me change the subject.. to a very cute topic. My sweetheart is going to be TWO in 9 more days. Ohhh.. he is growing up so quick. And everyday is a new day with him. He does new actions, or mimics us or any of the other tactics he does. Its really fun to watch him. He understands almost everything we say to him, but wont obey them tough. He loves to go out. Loves unscrewing all the nuts and wires of his cycle more than riding it. Loves all the loud and fast, hip-hop type songs, dances to it. Everything is a mike for him, holds it like one and goes around the house singing in his own words. He not yet potty-trained though. Sometimes he goes to the bathroom door and calls out to us to do su-su. Other times he does it in his shorts itself. Diapers are used only at night now. Hope fully he would be trained by the time he goes to playschool.

There is so much more to write about him. Will save it for his Birthday Post.

And in between I somehow squeezed in time to watch Slumdog Millionaire and Gajini. The former in a DVD, and Gajini, in bits and parts from the Internet. Slumdog was ok, loved the songs though. I liked Gajini a lot. Asin was wonderful and beautiful. And I am big fan of Aamir, so there is no words which actually suits him. He is more that incredible.

P.S: Had to delete the previous post. Did not want to sued by those guys :)

Why shouldn’t I?

Why shouldn’t I brag about my son? I can right?

SO here I go..

Well I had blogged about how Jason loves to write (scribble) with pen or pencil. He knows which end of the pen/pencil he must hold. But what amazes us is that no one taught him how to hold the pen/pencil. He did it by himself. And he holds it correctly with the thumb, index finger and the middle finger. That is one thing.

Now, every (ok, not every but most of them) child when wears slippers for the first time, they tend to put the left foot in right slippers and vice verse, right? In our building, there are kids who at the age of 3 get it wrong. But we just had to show Jason once and every time he wears them he gets it right :).I just hope he grasp thing this fast later also.

The other day he was holding a shampoo sachet, upside down and looking at it. After a couple of seconds later, he turned it. He knew somehow that he was not holding it right. Even his books or any other magazine, he will hold them correctly, always.

In the church, after the completion of the mass, we pray by ourselves for sometime. Jason keels down, with his palms together, eyes closed, and whispers something. Even if its just for a minute or so, he does it. I know he is not actually praying, but just seeing what he did, makes us so proud of him. And that’s one of the virtues we wanted him to have. Even at home, when we do our evening prayers, he would makes sure that I and my MIL have our head covered, and we each have our own Bible with us. And whenever he sees a Bible he kisses it, keeps it near his chest and does a prayer act. Ohhh... I just love my baby.. Muah.

He has been talking a lot more now, but not complete sentences. The words are not that clear though. Hope he speaks better by the time we celebrate his second birthday, which is only a month away. Wow.. He will be two. Its so hard to believe.

This pic was taken at the church picnic we went last week. He had the best time.
No, he is not singing, just saying something which sounded like," mee mee mee..."

In other news, My hand is getting better, but not completely recovered. We would be going to see a doc in a couple of days. And I also attended a couple of job interviews, but nothing worked, so I am still unemployed :(

One a happier note, I have been awarded the Proximidade_Blog_Award by Monika and K3. Thank you so much guys.

Ok..since almost everyone on my blogroll has received this award, I am not gonna pass this to anyone specific. So the award goes to everyone out there in the blogworld :)

A continuation of the previous post...

Couple of days back, hubby came home from work, smiling happily came to me, and said " My dear wife, I completely agree with you."

The thought that passed my brain, 'Finally!!!! At something. Don't know what, but at least he agreed'.

He continues, " I agree with you, you HAVE a ego problem".

I laughed...

Because he agreed with me.

Where was I ?

WARNING: THIS POST IS LONG AND BORING. IN SHORT ITS ME RANTING AND RANTING

So, where was I for the past two weeks???

I was a total wreck. With MIL in kerala, hubby busy at office from 8am to 9pm and the maid not turning up for almost a week. I was too busy finishing off most of the work while Jason is sleeping, and trying to cook with him at tow, asking me to lift him so that he can see what I am cooking. And myself getting frustrated and irritated and tired and sleepy. And that effected Jason directly. How? I didn’t have the strength to play ball with him, when he wanted to. Was too tired to go out with him. Was too lazy to play blocks with him, so that he was kept busy. Instead, I just used to sink into the bean bag, he on my lap, sucking his fingers and watching TV. I know, I am worthless mother. I just hate myself when I do that.

And on to top it all, I have the worst EGO problem. (Hubby would surely agree with me). My problem here is, I want to show everyone (namely hubby, MIL, SILs and my parents) that I can manage very well without my MIL with us, or if the maid does not turn up. I can do the cleaning, cooking and washing besides taking care of Jason 23 and half hours a day (the remaining half hour he is next door, while I finish off with my bathing etc.)

My poor son, he has been the victim of my anger and irritation. For example, I wont put on the diaper on him at the day time. Why? Not affordable economically and hygienically. Unhygienic cos, in the humid weather diaper will cause more rashes. Well, I am trying to potty train him, so started with making him pee in the toilet. He wont tell me if he wants to, but I take him every 30-45 mins. Once in a while if I miss it, he would pee on the sofa. I end up slapping him on his buttocks. He gives me the puppy face, and if I instantly take him into my arms, he cools down and starts pulling my hair etc, and then just forgets about the pee or the smack he got for me. But if I am really pissed off, I scold him and then he starts crying. Its so heartbreaking to see him cry like that. He would come to me, hug my legs and cry. I sit down with him, hug him and try to shush him. Instead he tries to calm me down, cos by this time I am also crying. He hugs me, with his smooth cheek touching mine, he pats my back with his little fingers. I am so blessed to be his mother, but I am just not a perfect mother. I wish I could do more. Be more patient and creative. Be more concerned about my son, and his well-being. I am all that, but not enough. I want to be the best for my son. I love him. ( I am actually crying now )

Well...by the time things started getting smooth at home, it started to rain cats and dogs in Chennai. Streets flooded, no power for 4 days as transformers were submerged in water, and in turn no water. Cant go out anywhere, kitchen counters were getting empty, the water-can only half filled. We were all worried. Some of the building mates booked themselves in hotels before it was too late. The kids had a hard time, no school, no playground, no TV, cant come out of their house cos of the rain. It was a rough 4 days, with cranky children, crying cats under the staircase, stinking water outside the building, no water in the building, cell phones down, most of the land-lines not working. Phew

But during this downpour, while we were cut out from the outer world with no TV, newspaper or Internet, we were more concerned about what was happening in Mumbai. The terrorist attack...

Is it real? Can 10 people kill hundreds pf people? Yes, if they are loaded with automatic guns and bombs. I don’t know how to write down the grief we felt here. So many people brutally killed. The director of the company where my dad works was in the Taj with his wife for dinner with some foreigners. He was trapped in his room, while his wife was one of the hostages with the terrorists. He never knew what happened to her, until he was rescued. That is when he saw one of the decomposed bodies was his wife. What was the crime that women did to be killed so cruelly? What about her children? How are they going to cope up with the loss.

What about the Rabbi’s two year old son? He has just started to know his parents. Now he has lost both of them. Wont he be wondering all his life, how his life would have been if his parents were alive? I cried when I saw the picture of the boy clinging to his nanny. What about everyone of them out there who has lost the only earning member of the family? What about the parents who have lost their only child? How will they cope up? Will the money paid by the politicians be enough to cover their grief.

Most of you must have seen the picture of the terrorist who is in the police custody. He is just 21. A age where he should be going to college, riding bikes showing of to girls, doing night-outs during exam time, watching new movies, drinking coke and having fun in the canteen. And instead what did e choose to do? Kill people. Hundreds of them.

I am scared. Everyone is scared. All we can do is pray to God to keep us safe.

Jason at 17 months

Jason will be Seventeen Months old tomorrow. And since Saturday and Sunday are the only days I get to be with hubby, I wont be able to publish this post.

So what is my dear son up to ?????

* Jason's vocabulary has two more new words in it, that's Kaka... for crow and Poo .. for Flower. Even though it does not sound as it should..

* When we ask him where his head is, he touches his head and if we ask where his eyes are, he pokes his finger into our eyes.

* When we ask him what sound a dog does, he responds with a bow-bow. And when asked about a cat, makes the Meeayoo-Meeayoo sound. His face expression and the excitement is the best part.

*He loves the kids serial ' Teltubbies' at the Cbeebies channel. Specially when the sun ( which has the face of a baby) rises and makes a laughing sound, Jason too starts smiling and looks at us. Its really cute. He does not like to watch any other cartoons.

* He loves the title songs of his Mamma's favorite serials, FRIENDS and Desperate Housewives. He comes running to see it. Mamma's boy?

* He likes to sleep in between his Mama and Papa, and that too with his back pressed to one of them. I like it :)

* He is now-a-days very partial with his kisses. Will only kiss papa :( No kisses for mama, only bites.

* He loves to lock us in the bathroom. If he sees someone getting into the bathroom, he dutifully latches it, as if someone has assigned him that job.

*He is a crazy about cheese. He gets over-excited as soon as he sees the cheese cube in my hand.He wont even wait for me to take of the wrapping on it.

*He loves his books. Looks at the pictures of balloon, baby, shoe and becomes very happy. After he is finished he stacks it back in the box one by one. But normally the last one wont go in by him, and he screams out. Then someone has to help him with it. After that is done he claps his hands and shouts Yayyyyy... and we have follow suit. Its fun to watch him do it. Someday will post the video.

* We don't have much space in the kitchen, so have kept the microwave on a stool. Its at the same height as of Jason. He stands in front of it, looks at his reflection and smiles at it. He talks to his reflection and also kisses on the glass door, and makes all sorts of faces in front of it.

* He loves to go out and play. Now he has learnt a new way of making us open the door for him. He goes to the door, covers his eyes with his hands, and pretend to cry. And in between he will peep through his fingers and see if that's having any effect on us. Naughty little fellow he is.

* He loves to keep the house clean, so he puts any waste he finds in the dustbin. The waste includes my hairband, My comb, his papa's pen, onions, potatoes and many more stuff.

* He is a lot into interior designing. According to him the front hall looks better if utensils are scattered on the floor. And since no one listens to him, he himself tries to decorate the house. Like utensils in the hall, onions and potatoes in the bedroom, the list keeps increasing.

*******

And now some update on Jason's Mama..

* Well, she is still unemployed. No one is interested to hire her.

* Is bored to hell. Is always tensed. Is very very irritated with everything. And is taking out all the anger on poor Papa.

* Did a good thing. Joined Aerobic classes and is trying to burn off some fat. Even though the first 2-3 days, could not move any of her muscle, she is enjoying it now.

So that's how life is going on...

But life becomes more happier and worth living when I see this smiling face....

Helloooooo!!!!

Hello Everybody,

Continuing from the previous post and the one before that, my sys is up and working fine. The first thing I did was to backup all the pictures and rest of the data.

So nothing better than another blog where I can post Jason's pictures. Its only pictures in that blog. So when ever you get time just drop in to "JUST JASON" and enjoy. I am not done yet, maybe within a couple of days it should be ready. The link can be seen at the side column also.

Meanwhile ( Since I am short of money) I have started a Cleaning Agency. Its called...

JASON'S CLEANING SERVICES (with no underpants ;) )

SO any takers???

My System is alive.

After I wrote my previous post , I had expected to get at least 3-4 comments/ consoling words/ words of wisdom/ spats etc. But in the big wild world of bloggers only two humble souls felt like leaving a comment. Thank you Jonny's Mom and Aathira. May be others were very busy or did not want to waste time trying to make someone a little happy or maybe they did not just care.

Anyways, all I wanted to convey was, that it would be very very nice if you could leave just a "hi", or "hello" at the comment box. I would sincerely come and visit your blog, and will surely leave some nice comments. And then you can tell me, if you didn't feel good reading it.

************************************************************************************

So continuing from the previous post,

Hubby is back from Mumbai but very very busy with his projects. But at least he is home.

And my laptop is also working. It said that my system has recovered from some serious problem . But at least its working at present. So what I am going to do is backup all the pictures I have in it.

So will get back soon.

take care :)

Blogged-out !!!

Its one of those days, when you get up and feel like crying. Just cry. Why? Don't know...

It maybe because hubby has been in Mumbai for a week now, and will be back only on Saturday.
It maybe because My laptop konked-off yesterday. It showed some blue-screen error. And I know its something serious, as I have a Dell laptop and I worked for Dell. And The worst part is, all of Jason pictures and videos, right from the time he was born is in it. I don't know what I would do, if we wont be able to recover them. It was my fault, I should have taken backups. I just left it pending for some other time. Stupid me, if only I had done it before. Now have to wait for hubby to get back and do something about it. I hope I get the pictures and videos back.

Just the other day, I saw a couple with a 5-6month old baby. And I was missing Jason (when he was of that age). As soon as I was home, I was watching his videos in the laptop.

*sob* *sob*

One more thing which is making me sad and anxious is, that I need a job. A good one and that too near by. So that I can get home if there is an emergency of any sort. With hubby's work place being far, I have to be nearby. God help me..

So... I will be blogged-out for some time, but I will surly come to the Internet cafe in between to check my mails. To see if someone, by chance wants to hire me. Also will will keep in touch with other blogs.

SO while I am gone, please pray for me. Pray that I get Jason's snaps and videos from the sys, pray that I get a job soon...

And please don't forget about me :(

Tagged again..

K3 tagged me to do this tag – present 6 quirky things.
So I thought thought and thought. And the outcome, I have more than 6. Don't worry I wont scare you away, I will just write 6 of them.

These are the rules:
1. Link the person(s) who tagged you
2. Mention the rules on your blog (here they are!)
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours...
4. Tag 6 following bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged.

OK... so here they are..

1. If I am alone in a room, and seriously thinking about anything, You will find me walking in circles.
I know dogs do that before peeing :P

2. I have to drink water as soon as I take bath.
Really quirky na?

3. I just hate to sleep in the afternoon.
No, I am not crazy. I fight with hubby when he sleeps on Sunday and Saturday afternoons.

4. I hate cooking, specially the routine rice, curry, thoran, sambar etc.
Wish I could change the kitchen into a gym or playroom or anything other than a kitchen will do.

5. I don't like to have dinner.
Not that I am on a diet or anything. One look at me, and you can be sure, Diets never work for me.Maybe because I stuff myself with all craps before dinner. :0

6.I use most of my face scrub on my feet.
But sadly its not working out as I wished.

That's it...So what do you think of me now???

p.s: Even with all this weirdness I am good girl.. so please do come and visit me again..

Now lets see who else is a Weirdo oops.. good girl/boy like me...

What say Jonny's Mommy, Ladybird, Romila, Shellie, Swayam, De-Scribe.

So... enjoy..

Just thinking.

Hello to all out there in the blogosphere,

I know, I have been very irregular on my blog. Even if my posts are few, I try to keep up with whats happening in other good blogs. And when yesterday, I read a wonderful comment left by Jonny’s mommy, I was very touched. I just felt wonderful. It is a big boost for me. Please read what this nice lady had written.

All of you must be wondering, why am I so excited. Well, this is the best comment I have ever got on my blog. Its like getting a appraisal on your job at the first month itself. So I just wanted to record and save it. Do I hear someone screaming "SHOW-OFF ! ! ! ! !".

So anyways, this made me think of all the reason’s why I don’t blog enough. Let me see...

1. Firstly, because I am a little lazy. I mean, I am more of a TV person than an Internet person. So whenever I get a little Jason-free time, I try to catch some movie or see the reruns of my favorite serial, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and Desperate Housewife.

I am a die hard FRIENDS fan, and can watch it n number of times.I actually know all the dialogs by heart. I love Joey, and his How you doin???? I think I can write a post on them later.

2. Secondly, there is nothing much exciting and interesting happening in our life. Other than what Jason is upto and now stuff about our new house, there is nothing much. We don’t know many people here, nor do we have much friends around, as we moved here a year ago. And we actually have not socialised much. I mean, with my Father-in-law’s death and with hubby’s hectic job timings, and all the shuttling we had to do between here and native, we did’nt have much time to socialise or have fun. Now hubby has a 8am to 7pm job, gets Saturday’s and Sunday’s off, but those are the days, we do our weekly shopping and catching up on our lost sleep. We have not even been able to take Jason to a park till now. So you see, there is nothing much to write about.

3. Thirdly and the most important is, that my writing skills are not that good.

That you may have noticed, right?
I am not witty and funny, and cannot play with words. I know English, but not good enough to write. I do read a lot of books though, mostly fictional and romance. I love Sidney Sheldon and Jeffry Archer and many more authors whose name I don't remember at present. But when it comes to writing something interesting, I am lost for words. Words which has more depth or is heavy to digest type.

BTW, is anyone able to understand what I am trying to say????

Actually I have lost touch with my good English, which was really good when I was working for an MNC in Bangalore. I had to deal with US citzens, so we were trained to improve our English and the accent. But after comming to Chennai, its just the occasional, you are cammingg aa??? (are you comming) or you are gaingg aa??? (are you going?) or ok vaa??? (ok?) No offence but very few people speak proper English here. And at home too, we speak Malayalam, our mother-tongue. So other than when my friends call up, or when I don't get the exact words in Malayalam when fighting with hubby, I speak very less English.

So there I am, confessing...

I don't know how to end this post, so all I can say is, maybe when I get a job (hopefully in a good company), I will start speaking good English again. And then I may be able to write good stuff which you guys may like, and would be willing to come back to this poor little sweet girls blog again....

:)

Random updates...

So you ask whats happening in our life?

Well for some good news, Our loan for the house has been almost approved. Some more time, and we will shift to our own house. It has a living room, small kitchen, dining room, three bedroom, and three bathroom. More than enough for us. I love that house. Mainly because it is our own, not some rented one, where we have to beg the owners to change the pipe or sink or for any other small jobs. And I get to paint it my way ( hopefully). Cos, hubby wants cream colored walls. Don't you think that's a little outdated? So I said, lets paint the bedrooms, a combination of white and blue. And the kitchen and dining room cream, as the cabinets and the dining table will be brown-wooden color. And the living room some nice bright color, like sunny yellow?? These are the colors I have in mind. But we will be consulting interior decorator we know. No... we are not rich enough to hire one. So just consulting. Lets see how it turns out. There is some other jobs also to be done there. We have to do the kitchen cabinets, polish the tiles, and the woods. The tub in the bathroom has to be removed, and bathroom has to renovated. I just want to move in there as soon as possible.

And the other bloggable matter is that AT LAST I have started going for my software testing classes. I have been planning to go from some time now. Now since my Mil is here, I can leave Jason with her. So now life has become more busy.

My day stars at 6am, make tea for us, milk for Jason, then make breakfast.Mil takes care of Jason, while hubby gets ready, and I make half of the lunch. Hubby has breakfast and leaves by 8am. Then I bathe Jason, feed him, he goes to sleep by 9-9.15. During that time, Mil does some of the kitchen work. Then I get dressed, have breakfast and leave at 9.50 am. And while Jason is asleep, Mil finishes the kitchen work. After my class, I am back by 12.30pm. Its so damn hot outside, that by the time I reach home, I am dead. But its the smile of my sweety pie, which brings me back to life. Its feels so good to find some one you love waiting for you. Now I know how hubby feels when he is back from work ;)

The whole procedure above, would have been manageable, if and only if, MY MAID WAS HERE.

@#$@#$#%$%^$^&*(*(@#!@# ( That's me shouting at her)

She had to go to her Brother's son's wedding, who is getting married to her sister's daughter. So
that means, I have to fit in sweeping, mopping, washing utensils also into the above paragraph.
But (patting my back) I am managing it. Its like this, Sweeping in the evening, mopping only
alternate days, Utensils, Mil helps me out. I am so thankful she is here. Other wise I really would have been in deep s**t.

A Happy Mom.

I am a very happy mother, know why? Cos my son obeyed me. I mean, he heard me and did as said.

It so happened that, I was checking my mails, and Jason was sitting on my lap. And to get him off my lap, so that I could finish my work soon, I asked him to get my mobile.

So I say, (all excited and in a chirpy voice) "Chikku, Mamma mobile thaa..."and I let him down. He runs (read wobbles) to the mobile lying on the floor, picks it up, looks at me and with wide eyes, and mouth making various shapes, comes wobbling back to me, saying "Amma...maa...Huh...Huh..oooo...." and hands me the mobile. He looked so happy. It was a very beautiful moment. Clapping my hands happily I said "Jason is a good boy, Jason is good boy". Then I picked him up and put him on my lap. And as a reward, I let him play on the laptop. He happily tapped on the keys, tried to pull out a couple of them, and after some time he let himself down to play with his toy car.

He did the same thing the next day too.

Every evening we both and his friends Hruday and Uday along with their Mom meet up at the terrace. The kids run around and have fun. We mom's chat about the days event. On the next evening, when the other Mom's mobile rang, she asked her kids to get it, but they wont. But as soon as I ask Jason to get it, he dutifully gets it and hands it over to the other Mom.

He is such a sweet little boy. I felt so proud. My obedient son.

Muahhh :)

Feeling important...

These last few days had been Chinnu's most enjoyable days ( I think). he is surrounded my so many friends and relatives, who are always waiting in queue to hold or cuddle him or to play with him. I think he is enjoying the attention.

In the church, I had to actually wait to get hold of my baby. people who have never talked to me before, give me the widest smile now. I think I am getting popular, thanks to my baby. but the most happiest thing for me is that, even if Chinnu is with someone else and he sees me, he will give me "the smile". it makes my heart melt to know that, I am so important for my baby. once in a while, when he is not happy with the person holding him, I would stretch my arms and ask him to come to me. he would happily do so. at that moment, I cant resist myself from hugging him tightly and kissing him. I am happy that, I am there for Chinnu whenever he needs me.

Sometimes he wakes up, and if he finds no one near him, he would crawl around the bed, and later would start crying. I would go and sleep next to him, hold him close to me and put him to sleep again. its so fulfilling and satisfying to comfort your child. I think all mothers feel this outburst of love. and maybe like me, they cherish these moments.

During all these moments, what come to my mind is a poem. Shibu sent me this poem, when I was pregnant. At that time, the poem was just a poem. but now I know, it means a lot. the poem goes like this.

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. So one day she asked God: They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless? Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you.

But tell me, here in Heaven, I don't do anything else but sing and smile, that's enough for me to be happy. Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy.

And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me, if I don't know the language that men talk? Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.

And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you? Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.

I've heard that on earth there are bad men. Who will protect me? Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.

But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore. Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way for you to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you.

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard, and the child in a hurry asked softly:

Oh God, if I am about to leave now, please tell me my angel's name. Your angel's name is of no importance, you will call your angel: Mommy

"Mommy"... I never knew, carrying this title would be such a honor. It has given my life a new meaning.

That special day.

Let me start with my baby’s birth day. It was at 8.48 am on 19th of Feb 2007, that I heard my baby cry for the first time. That was the sweetest sound I ever heard in my life. I could not stop my tears of joy. I have never been so happy in my life before. I was waiting for the first glimpse of the ‘sweet little thing’ I gave birth to. I thought that the baby would be shown to me immediately. But the doctors thought it was wise for the mother to bear some more pain. i don't remember now how much i cursed them. Then i saw the back of his head. He had nice black hair, just like my husband wanted. Its not that i didn't want my baby to have nice hair, its just that i thought that all babies are born bald. I am happy that my concept was wrong. So, here i was waiting to hold my baby in my arms, and they took the baby to the room. After some minutes (which seemed like hours to me ) they took me to the room. There I saw my baby for the first time. he was wrapped up in a soft white cloth and was sleeping soundly in a cradle. he looked like an angel sleeping on a bed of clouds. i touched him, his skin was smooth like a velvet cloth. it felt like touching a cotton ball. it was such a beautiful moment. Just 2.8 kgs, he was small and tiny. i was scared to hold him in my hands. he was so delicate, that the skin where i touched him turned red. all i did that day was to look at him and blush with happiness. after i stopped crying, i could not stop smiling. I can never stop thanking God for this wonderful gift he gave me. the only thing i missed that day was my husband 'S'. since i was at my mom's place for delivery and he was supposed to come on the due day. but my son decided to surprise us by coming 15 days earlier. luckily 'S' was able to reach on the 3rd day. i could not express in words the happiness i saw on his face. he held the baby close to him, and thanked God. we are a family now, a complete family.

And later that day we went home with our son. we were proud parents of a beautiful little son.
