Home Sweet Home.

We were in my native for the past 10 days, for my Father-in-law’s 2nd death-anniversary prayer service. Hubby was back on the same day, we stayed back for a week, so that we can go and visit my grandmother, my dad’s side one. Actually no one there has seen Jason and this was our chance to go there. The place called Nilambur is almost at the other end of Kerala, and I don’t know the way. So since my parents were there in Kerala ( they were there to check on the house they are building), we went along with them. The journey was tiring, with the climate so hot and humid. We had to change two trains. After reaching that place we had a good time, with all my cousins ( some of them whom I have not seen for 7-8 years) turning up to see Jason. Well he was the star there. And he did have fun with so many big brothers and sisters to play with.

My only disappointment was that everyone kept complaining that Jason is very thin, and that I am not feeding him properly. I got fed up of everyone comparing Jason and Abel ( my another cousins son, 2.8 years old). I used to call up hubby and literally cry about it. And he would scold me, saying that Jason is healthy and active, so we don’t have to worry about anything.

Well now we are back in Chennai, and I love it here. My house, my family, my life with the two people I love and care for the most. Its such a relief to be back home. Now a days, I just don’t like staying anywhere for more than 3-4 days. I would be dying to come back home, specially if hubby is at home all alone. Now all I have to do is clean up the hurricane hit house of mine :)

Meanwhile Jason has been growing up and sticking to the "Terrible Twos" term. He is naughty, stubborn and wont listen to me at all. Its like he was holding all this unwanted qualities and it all just erupted as soon as he turned two. So it’s a little tough with him.

Just yesterday, there was loads and loads of clothes to folded and kept at its respective places. And somehow I finished it. Just left the room for a minute. And what do I see? All the clothes scattered on the floor. Grrrrr..

But my son does some cute stuff also. Like in kerala, Abel was searching for is Amma (Mom), so Jason points at me and says "Amma amma...", as in ‘look there is amma, don’t worry’. It made me very happy cos, he does not call me Amma/Mummy/Mamma, he calls me by my name.

There are many more episodes like this I want to write about. Would collect it and post it next time. This one is long enough to bore you guys.

So as always, leaving you with some snaps...

That’s Abel with Jason.

With cousins at my Mom’s side.

Cousins from Dad’s side. Its too hot to wear clothes :)

At home, clutching papa’s bible and praying. May be for a cheese rain. He is that crazy about cheese. The other day we were at the super market, he saw the box of cheese cubes, opened up the box and started eating one.
Don’t they know how to embarrass their mothers :o

I am back...

At last I am back, and with an almost healed hand. At present doing physiotherapy to get the movement back. Even though I cant lift heavy objects, I can pretty much do other light work.

It was a rough month. I could not do anything by myself, was totally dependent on others for every small thing. The worst part was, I could not lift Jason or hug him or play with him. Poor thing, he would look at my hand and with a sad face would say, booaa as in boo-boo. Luckily my cousin came to stay with us till hubby came for Christmas. Later hubby was there till my plaster came off. Jason was very lonely there, although he enjoyed roaming around in the backyard and playing in the sand, which he can never find in our apartment here.

My Sisters-in-law came home with their kids and for two days and it was a non stop chaos in the house. Five kids aged 14-12-9-5-almost2. Jason was the happiest there, with all his cousins trying to please him and cuddle him, got gifts from aunts and uncles. He ran around, jumped on his cousins, hit them, kissed them, even slept with them. The best part was the dancing which went on till midnight. It was a huge project to get him to bed. But the worst part was when they all had to leave a day before Christmas. We had to take Jason to the backyard and distract him while they left. The whole day he was very dull and sad. He would go to the rooms and call out for them.

Christmas was OK, New Year too went by. Nothing much happened other than myself agonising over my broken hand. Hope you guys had a lovely New Year.

I have so many blogs to catch up on. Leaving you with some pics of what my son was up to in the past one month.

Lets hear it from the Horses mouth itself..

Had fun with my cousins. Here is Niya and Eric. They love me... cos I am sooo chweet.
Did some serious thinking and reading. Lets see, maybe I will soon write a coloum in the Economic Times.

Prayed to God, to heal my Mamma's hand soon so that I can break it again :)

Broke everything and anything I could lay my hands on, which included a flower vase with stand, the remote, n number of my Grandma's tapes...
Made a girlfriend too.. hee hee.
Played Santa with my Grandpa. See the Christmas tree behind? Ya.. that's kept on the TV so that the it remains intact at least for a day, before I take it apart.. see.. every one is scared of me.
Had a sunbath..even though I am not allowed to sleep on the sand, and dirty the pillow. By the way, where was my Mom, she could have stopped me. Oh.. she was busy laughing and taking snaps..

Diapers everywhere, expect where it actually should be ;) Its a free world, my bum should also enjoy the freedom... don't ya think so?
Trying to be a pakka Mallu guy :)
And now, presenting the Bald and The Cuty-pie :)
Bald is In Dude :) .

Its play time !!!

Weekend was so-so.. with hubby down with fever. But we manged to go shopping for a birthday present for Mrudula. That's Hubby's colleague's daughter whose birthday party we missed. And since they were coming to our place on Sunday, we thought of getting the set of books, same as the one Jason has. But they were out of stock and we ended up buying another gift for her. We were not planning to buy anything for Jason till Christmas, but that kid, he got hold of a ball and wont let it down. We tried taking him to the other floor, showed him other toys, distracted him with n number of cycles there.. but no.. he wants the 'bo', and keeps pulling us towards it. Anyhow we bought it, and also a cargo pant for him. Though both were more than we expected it to be, but it was worth. This is first full-pant, so we were a little skeptical to buy it or not.

So what say? How does he look? That's Mrudula and Jason having fun. And yes that's the new ball, the red white and blue one.

"Uhhh.. isn't that my ball?????"

"Wait up... me is coming"

"Let me help you, give me my new ball, I will give you the old one;) "

"Look, how innocent I am, now can I have my ball back"

" hey.. she too sucks her finger like I do... same pinch "

The before and after...

Remember this happy little fella???

Now!!!! Save your breath...

Here comes ....

The bald little fella...

BTW that IS Jason, not some guy from the 'wanted list'.

I felt so sad while the barber happily chopped off Jason's hair. Those hair were the first thing I
saw of my baby. I mean, after delivery, I was pleading to the stupid Doc (who was busy chatting
with another female) to show me the baby. But all she said was, "They have taken him to your
parents, you can see him there". Aren't they suppose to show the baby to its mother first? So while I was lying there, I saw the back of Jason's head as the nurse took him to my parents. I was so happy, he had such nice back hair.

Now its gone !!!!!! I know they will grow back but....

Jason and his friends.

The studio guys are taking some time in giving us the pictures of the Birthday party. We may get it tomorrow.

So I thought to do a post on Jason friends. Well all his friends are from the apartment we stay at. So he often sees them. And I think Jason really likes to be with these friends of his.

Jason’s first friend was Sidharth a.k.a. Sidhu. At that time Jason was only 6-7 months old. They lived opposite to our house, but in the same compound. He would call out "Babu!!!!!" from his window, and Jason would reply with a "huh!" or make some sound in response to his call. Jason loved watching him ride his bicycle or play ball. But they soon had to shift from here. I don’t think Jason remembers him anymore, but some time in future he would be happy to know about his first friend ever. Sadly I don’t have any snaps of Sidhu.

Another friend Jason liked was Sanjay a.k.a. Sanju. They were 'not next-door' but 'next-wall neighbors'.'Were' because they too got transferred a couple of days back. He liked coming to our house, not to play with Jason but to play with his toys. Jason would be happy, just because there was a kid in the house to play with. They were good team but. On some evenings, Jason on his walker and Sanju in his sandals which makes pooii-pooii sound, would play on our drive-way. It was real fun to watch them.

That’s Sanju and Jason discussing some serious affair, and then a final Good-bye kiss.

Then there is Hrudaya. He is 4 year old kid, who likes Jason a lot. He actually prefers to play with Jason rather than his 2 old brother Udaya. He wants Jason to go along with him everywhere. He will come to our house to show Jason his new color pencils or any other new stuff he gets. The best was, he drew a house with two windows, and declared that one window is his and the other one is for Jason. None for Udaya.

Jason too likes to be around him. And since his Mom is a good friend of mine, the kids get to spend a lot of time together.

That’s Jason and Hrudaya on their respective automobile.

There is one more kid in our apartments, Prithviraj a.k.a. Pinkku. Jason and Pinkku don’t spend much time together but whenever they meet, there is a lot of kissing and hugging going on between them.

Look at them cling to each other.

More pics of Jason.

I know, the day Jason reads my blog, and especially this post, i wont have a single hair left on my head. He would obviously pull them out for publishing these pics.

But till then, I am the Ruler of his world...hee haa haa..

So presenting some unique pictures of my dear son.

Lets see what he has to say about them

"If you haven’t noticed, these are not my size".

"I would prefer thinking outside the box... "

"At the IFS (Infant Finishing School)"

"Make way.... here comes Junior Beckham"

"Well... I like gifts but gift-wrapping me is not a good idea. "

"Mama, that’s my shorts, not me cap.... "
