Happy Birthday Baby

Our darling Chikku,

Wish You A Very Happy Birthday.
You have been in our life for two years now,
And it feels like, just yesterday when we celebrated your first Birthday.
And now you are already Two...
Some more months and you would be off to school, leaving Mama in tears of happiness.

The last 730 days have been the best and the most memorable days of our life.
You have been the most important person of our lives.
The excited welcome you give us when anyone of us comes back home,
The tiredness just vanishes.

The astonished look on your face, when you see something new, its just precious.
The surprised look and the 'aiyoo' you do when you drop something, its priceless.
The way you say 'NO' to everything, with your mouth and eyes round as saucers,
Its so so sweet. And yes, that's the only English word you know,
Besides thee(three), thoo(two) and un(one) :)

You are intelligent enough to get your slippers right every time,
Even the ones we made you try out in the shop, which you were seeing for the first time.
You can also hold a pen/pencil correctly, but you do scribble on the walls a lot.
You love to look at books/magazines and you always hold them correct.

While siting on the floor and watching TV, you sometimes come from behind,
Hug us, leans forward, smile and kiss us on our lips.
Our heart just swells up with love when you do that.
And you do give us lots of kisses when ever we ask.

You can now reach all the door knobs and open them,
And since you cant reach the grill door's knob, you stand on top of your books and open it.
You love our car, and actually make a big scene when we shift you from the drivers seat.
You can recognise the car among, at least 40-45 other cars at the Church compound.

You know that Bible is something important, and you hold it close to your chest
And mumble something, with your eyes closed, it sure looks like you are praying.
When we sit for prayer at home, you are ready with the songbook and start singing.
Even though its in your own words, its really sweet to watch you do so.

You know your manners, and cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough.
And you cover your whole face when you cry,
And yes... its breaks our heart to see you cry baby.
You love to help mama, by pulling out all the cups and cans from the kitchen shelf,
And put it back, though in a haphazard way.
By taking the broom and mop and cleaning it in your own style.
By cleaning up your su-su (pee) with washed-and-ironed clothes.

Earlier, you just walked and then later walked fast, but you have started running now.
And you love to play football on the terrace with mama,
Though mama does most of the kicking.

You still don't have all the teeth, but have 12 and another one is on its way.
You dont brush your teeth, but use the brush to clean all your toys and stuff.
You don't do your su-su or potty in toilet, you just do it all over the place,
Its OK, you will get it right within a couple of months.

You love to snuggle close to mama at night, and in the morning you wont let us leave.
You, keep calling us and say 'Babo ba-Babo ba', as in , come to sleep.
You dont talk in sentences though, just words, like Bella (vellam/water),
Menna (venda/dont want), yam(jam), and some more like that.

And yes, I will thank the MTV and the VTV guys on your behalf.
Cos, that's the only I can get food down your throat.
You are a non fussy guy, but when it comes to eating food...
We eventually end up having a mini war.

You love to listen to songs a LOT.
You dance to the songs, you try to sing along also.
Your fav songs at present are the ones from Delhi-6, Billu Barber,
Kismat Konnection, Jab we met...
Basically all the fast and disco type songs.

You are such a sweet kid, everyone in our flat adhores you,
And every one stops at least to shake hands with you.
And on your birthday today, we wanted you to know,
That there are so many people all around the world,
Who are praying for your well being and happiness.
May God Bless you baby.
May all your wishes come true.
And we promise you sweetheart, to give you everything we can,
So that you grow up to be God-Fearing, Healthy, Caring, Sincere, Honest Person.

Chikku, you give us the reason to wake up in the mornings,
You, my sweetheart, make our life worth living,

We Love You Baby...Papa and Mama Loves you a lot...
Happy Birthday Once Again Baby.

With all our love,
Mama and Papa.

Can't Decide...

..about what title to give for this post. Cos There is nothing specific I want to blog about. Just some stuff..

Like.. something which is actually scaring the hell out of me. I will be 30 next month. THIRTY.... Its like half of my life is finished ( assuming I wont be tragically dead before 60). So many things come to a halt... ok not halt but at least to a pause at this age. I cant be referred to be in 'late twenties' any more. I will be counted in the list of aunties from then onwards. I cant apply to any bank or government jobs anymore, as the age limit is 30. I have to be more careful now if I have to have a second child ( There is a post or at least a paragraph coming up on this topic later). Ohh... how I wish I could stay in my twenties for some more time.

If there is a die-hard F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan like me, you can recall the episode where they celebrate Rachel's 30th birthday, and in between Joey starts crying and asks God, "Why us God.. why??" I am in the same place right now. Though I am happy about the gifts I would be getting form my hubby ( ok.. that was for my hubby to read ;) just a reminder...dear,you have still got a month to buy them) and all the phone calls from friends and family, I don't want to be 30. I don't want to be OLD ...

Now about the next child... what should be the ideal difference between two children? I am confused. Me and my sis, we are five years apart. I don't remember a single day when we did not fight. And we are not that close, as in telling our dark secrets and stuff. I wish we were. But I have been away for my engg and then she went for her nursing and then I went off to work and later got married. So we never got together to do some fun stuff. And neither do I see it happening in the near future. So that's my case. I feel five or four years is too much. Is three ok? That was what me and hubby were thinking of. Cos neighbours and family have already started asking about 'the next one'. Well, anyhow I have to get a job first, only then I can afford to get pregs...

ok.. let me change the subject.. to a very cute topic. My sweetheart is going to be TWO in 9 more days. Ohhh.. he is growing up so quick. And everyday is a new day with him. He does new actions, or mimics us or any of the other tactics he does. Its really fun to watch him. He understands almost everything we say to him, but wont obey them tough. He loves to go out. Loves unscrewing all the nuts and wires of his cycle more than riding it. Loves all the loud and fast, hip-hop type songs, dances to it. Everything is a mike for him, holds it like one and goes around the house singing in his own words. He not yet potty-trained though. Sometimes he goes to the bathroom door and calls out to us to do su-su. Other times he does it in his shorts itself. Diapers are used only at night now. Hope fully he would be trained by the time he goes to playschool.

There is so much more to write about him. Will save it for his Birthday Post.

And in between I somehow squeezed in time to watch Slumdog Millionaire and Gajini. The former in a DVD, and Gajini, in bits and parts from the Internet. Slumdog was ok, loved the songs though. I liked Gajini a lot. Asin was wonderful and beautiful. And I am big fan of Aamir, so there is no words which actually suits him. He is more that incredible.

P.S: Had to delete the previous post. Did not want to sued by those guys :)
