Jason's Birthday party.

Had a very busy weekend, with my parents in Chennai and preparations for Jason birthday party, which we celebrated on 24th (Sunday). My parents had come down for the same. They were really happy to see Jason after such a long time. My father spent every minute he can with Jason. Mom was busy shuttling between 'playing with him' and 'helping me in the kitchen'. My Sis could not come as she had exams this week.

The party was not as great as i had expected it to be. The number of guest were less than we had expected, as some of Shibu's colleagues were working. And Shibu was also not well. He had a sever sinus attack and slight fever too. The decorations were not that great either, as all the balloons were bursting due to the breeze. Anyhow we are not suppose to make it a grand function (as its not an year after the Father in law's demise).

But the best thing about the party was, Jason had a very good time. I was afraid he would fall asleep, as 8pm is his bed time. But he was wide awake, and very active too. Did not cry even once. He was actually clapping his hands when we sang the Happy birthday song. He dutifully went to everyone, smiled and said ta ta too. I think he knew, he was the most important person there. And he was happy to receive gifts too, with the shining and sparkling wrapping papers.
He slept only after everyone left. We were also very tired. But not too tired to open up the gifts. Actually i was the one in hurry to see what he has got. Lots of toys and dresses for him. The best were a set of books ( which included colors, numbers, my first words, alphabets and shapes), a keyboard ( by a blogger friend), a turtle which he can push around and walk along with it and a police jeep with policemen jumping out and shooting and shouting.

All in all, the birthday party was ok.

P.s: Have not got the snaps developed yet.

It sounds like it was a great party because he was happy, had fun, and knew he was the important one there! Happy Birthday Jason!
