Jason Jason and only Jason.

Some random updates...

The other day, I was watching Desperate Housewife, hubby was doing some office work. Jason came and sat on my lap, and sat staring at my face. When he saw that I was too engrossed in the serial, he kept his chweet little hand on my chin, and made me face him. I looked at him, wondering why he did so. Then he did the sweetest thing, he kissed me on both my cheeks and smiled at me. That felt like heaven. What else could be better than that.

He loves to scribble, scribble and scribble. Give him a pen/pencil and a book, he will be happy writing/drawing/scribbling on it. The best part is, he knows which side of the pen he should hold and he holds it right. I just feel that its really incredible that he does that. ( Please don’t burst my bubble saying that all kids can). So to encourage him/ to keep him busy while I watch TV/ feed him I got him some crayons. He was happy to get it, but after scribbling for some time on a book, he found a bigger canvas to showcase his talent. The floor and the wall. THE FLOOR which was polished and waxed a month back... THE WALL which was painted a month back. SO where does the crayons go... in the cupboard till he learns to stay in the line.

Look at him busily taking down notes.

Last Sunday at church, we were late ( as usual), so were sitting at the last bench. Janni, Jason very good friend saw us and came to play with Jas ( as she calls him). The scene was so very cute. They had two 5 rupee coins, one of them would keep them on the bench, the other one will pick it and pretend to hide it in her/his hand. Then she/he will keep it on the bench and continue the procedure. After about 10-5 mins, janni walked off towards her mom with the coins, next I see Jason calling out to Janni, "Janni...baa...baaa"( Janni..come..come) with his hand extended, and palms opening and closing. All the aunties who saw them were laughing at his actions.

Jason and Janni, don’t they look like twins. They just love to play with each other.

Jason learnt a couple of new words, like bamana for banana, choo for shoe, achaa for achacha/appacha (brother/grandpa) and choo-choo for su-su(pee), and a couple of more words. He would try to repeat what we have said. Its so sweet to hear those words. The last one is said only after the choo-choo is done tough.
So the other day, we were going out for lunch, and there was a truck load of banana in front of us. That is when our kid starts crying out "bamana, bamana", pointing to the bananas. We could not stop laughing.

Now a days, he is into slapping anyone who scolds him or says NO. So as usual I scolded him for throwing things around, and was looking at him with a stern face. He walked towards me and gave me a nice tight slap right across my face. I was actually stumped and felt sad too. So I just pretended to cry and and covered my face. He looked at me for some more time, then started rubbing my cheeks and gave me a kiss too. So sweet na...not the slap, the kiss..

He has also started responding to his name, when we call him. He goes, "huhhhh?", with the curious look on his face. He looks so sweet when he does that.

He loves to talk too, even though we cant make out what he is saying, its looks as if he is telling us something very important. I have tried to put in a video of him sitting at his favorite corner and chatting with his papa
.

My dad and sis were here last week. Dad left after a couple of days, sis will be here for some time. Jason had a nice time with all the gifts and the attention he got. But he does miss my mother-in-law who left for kerala last weekend. The house feels a little dull without her.

Jason with his gift from grandpa.

I can't view the video. At least you attempted it though. I don't even know how to put them up.

I just love this post. Reading all about Jason and the updates of him! He is so cute! And the two friends do look like twins! Wow!

I love that shot of him with the piano (keyboard). Jonathan loves to play the one at my parents, the one I had as a kid. He is fascinated by it!

And I'm so glad you won too! Making your scrapbook is going to be so much fun!

I will have to look at this on a different computer, my laptop won't let me view videos anymore lately. He is so cute, what fun stories of all he is doing and learning! I love his words :) And the crayons, we get colored chalks for our little ones because if they write by "accident" on the wall or floor, it wipes right off. If you have the greaser spray called WD40 or the cleaning sponge Mr.Clean Magic Eraser, they are great for getting crayon off walls.
