Back from Kerala

Its been over a week since I blogged, and I have so much to catch up with. We had been to Kerala, to get my Mil back to Chennai. It was a sudden and unplanned trip. It was a good change though. We got to meet my Sil-1 and Sil-2 and their kids. They had a good time with Jason. The last time they saw him, he just crawled, and now he just sit in one place.

And on our way back, hubby's cousins from Muscat ( who were in Kerala for summer) decided to come with us to Chennai. We reached here on Saturday morning. And then the next three days was spent in sight-seeing, shopping, eating out, chatting and having fun. We had a nice time.

The night before they left, we went for dinner at a place called Basera ( got the idea from Ladybird). There was this small play-area, where a bunch of kids were playing. Seeing them Jason too ran there. Even though he needed our help to sit on the swing or the slides, he had a nice time.

The day they were going to leave, we went to "Santhome Church" in Mylapore. I did not know the importance of the church until I went there, and saw the place. The church is built upon the tomb of one of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ. Its one of the three such churches in the world. The other two are in Rome and Spain. I liked it very much. Its so peaceful. Will go there again, as hubby could not come along with us. Poor thing had to go to office.

On Monday evening hubby left to Delhi for a official trip, and later the cousin and family also
left. The house felt kind of sad and silent. It was buzzing with laughter and chatter for last three days. But it would be fine by Friday when he comes back. Meanwhile all this traveling and outside food had a bad effect on Jason. He had a very upset stomach, and had to be taken to the Doc. He is getting better now, and hopefully he will be completely fine in a couple of days.

What a short but sweet love story. Sounds like life has been busy and good. That church is beautiful.
