Why shouldn’t I?

Why shouldn’t I brag about my son? I can right?

SO here I go..

Well I had blogged about how Jason loves to write (scribble) with pen or pencil. He knows which end of the pen/pencil he must hold. But what amazes us is that no one taught him how to hold the pen/pencil. He did it by himself. And he holds it correctly with the thumb, index finger and the middle finger. That is one thing.

Now, every (ok, not every but most of them) child when wears slippers for the first time, they tend to put the left foot in right slippers and vice verse, right? In our building, there are kids who at the age of 3 get it wrong. But we just had to show Jason once and every time he wears them he gets it right :).I just hope he grasp thing this fast later also.

The other day he was holding a shampoo sachet, upside down and looking at it. After a couple of seconds later, he turned it. He knew somehow that he was not holding it right. Even his books or any other magazine, he will hold them correctly, always.

In the church, after the completion of the mass, we pray by ourselves for sometime. Jason keels down, with his palms together, eyes closed, and whispers something. Even if its just for a minute or so, he does it. I know he is not actually praying, but just seeing what he did, makes us so proud of him. And that’s one of the virtues we wanted him to have. Even at home, when we do our evening prayers, he would makes sure that I and my MIL have our head covered, and we each have our own Bible with us. And whenever he sees a Bible he kisses it, keeps it near his chest and does a prayer act. Ohhh... I just love my baby.. Muah.

He has been talking a lot more now, but not complete sentences. The words are not that clear though. Hope he speaks better by the time we celebrate his second birthday, which is only a month away. Wow.. He will be two. Its so hard to believe.

This pic was taken at the church picnic we went last week. He had the best time.
No, he is not singing, just saying something which sounded like," mee mee mee..."

In other news, My hand is getting better, but not completely recovered. We would be going to see a doc in a couple of days. And I also attended a couple of job interviews, but nothing worked, so I am still unemployed :(

One a happier note, I have been awarded the Proximidade_Blog_Award by Monika and K3. Thank you so much guys.

Ok..since almost everyone on my blogroll has received this award, I am not gonna pass this to anyone specific. So the award goes to everyone out there in the blogworld :)

I am back...

At last I am back, and with an almost healed hand. At present doing physiotherapy to get the movement back. Even though I cant lift heavy objects, I can pretty much do other light work.

It was a rough month. I could not do anything by myself, was totally dependent on others for every small thing. The worst part was, I could not lift Jason or hug him or play with him. Poor thing, he would look at my hand and with a sad face would say, booaa as in boo-boo. Luckily my cousin came to stay with us till hubby came for Christmas. Later hubby was there till my plaster came off. Jason was very lonely there, although he enjoyed roaming around in the backyard and playing in the sand, which he can never find in our apartment here.

My Sisters-in-law came home with their kids and for two days and it was a non stop chaos in the house. Five kids aged 14-12-9-5-almost2. Jason was the happiest there, with all his cousins trying to please him and cuddle him, got gifts from aunts and uncles. He ran around, jumped on his cousins, hit them, kissed them, even slept with them. The best part was the dancing which went on till midnight. It was a huge project to get him to bed. But the worst part was when they all had to leave a day before Christmas. We had to take Jason to the backyard and distract him while they left. The whole day he was very dull and sad. He would go to the rooms and call out for them.

Christmas was OK, New Year too went by. Nothing much happened other than myself agonising over my broken hand. Hope you guys had a lovely New Year.

I have so many blogs to catch up on. Leaving you with some pics of what my son was up to in the past one month.

Lets hear it from the Horses mouth itself..

Had fun with my cousins. Here is Niya and Eric. They love me... cos I am sooo chweet.

Played Santa with my Grandpa. See the Christmas tree behind? Ya.. that's kept on the TV so that the it remains intact at least for a day, before I take it apart.. see.. every one is scared of me.
Had a sunbath..even though I am not allowed to sleep on the sand, and dirty the pillow. By the way, where was my Mom, she could have stopped me. Oh.. she was busy laughing and taking snaps..
